Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina Thanksgiving was not a great day to be a Season 10 American Idol finalist.Champ Scotty McCreery started off the bad day with a major blunder at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, where he was to perform his song "The Trouble With Girls" on top of a float. Well, he has more trouble with lip-synching (all performers lip-sync at the parade), missing his cue for the start of the song. His voice blared from the speakers, but his lips didn't move.Check out photos from American IdolLater at the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions game, runner-up Lauren Alaina pulled a Christina Aguilera and messed up the lyrics to "The Star-Spangled Banner." But the truth is I messed up. I'm gonna spend the rest of the day being thankful for all my blessings."McCreery, however, made no mention of his blooper.Watch both performances below:

Carrie Fisher: 'Star Trek' 'Not in the Same League' as 'Star Wars' (VIDEO)

William Shatner should have known not to mess with 'Star Wars.' Back in September, Captain Kirk was asked to weigh in on the 'Star Trek' vs. 'Star Wars' debate. Not one to mince words, Shatner criticized (half-jokingly -- we think) the lack of relationships in 'Star Wars' and even took a shot at Princess Leia, stating that "as beautiful as she was and as wonderful an actress [Carrie Fisher] is, she can't compare to the marvelous heroines we had on 'Star Trek.'" Fisher's response in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ... "They're not in the same league," Fisher told her friend Abe Gurko in a video posted on Carrie's YouTube account last week. "Klingon, that just sounds like a laundry detergent." Of course, she, doesn't quit there. Fisher hates on the cheesy special effects in 'Star Trek,' then manages to poke fun at William Shatner's health problems and, um, male parts. The best insult comes at the end, when Carrie looks at the camera and tells fans: "If you see Bill Shatner, call him Han Solo." Yep, she went there. You can check out the original Shatner video, along with Carrie's response, below. [via Huffington Post] [Photo: Getty Images] Follow Moviefone on Twitter Like Moviefone on Facebook

'Puss' purrs at top of weekend B.O.

'Puss in Boots'Paramount-DreamWorks Animation 3D holdover "Puss in Boots" sunk its claws into the domestic B.O.'s top spot, with a remarkable soph-sesh drop of just 3% that yielded an estimated $33 million through Sunday, while "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn," also in its second weekend, tallied a winning $40.8 million overseas."Puss" has grossed Stateside $75.5 million to date; "Tintin" reached $125.3 million internationally. The weekend's top domestic entry, Universal's "Tower Heist," came in at the low-end of expectations with an estimated $25.1 million, while Warner Bros.' "A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas" underperformed, grossing an estimated $13.1 million.By mid-day on Friday, most B.O. pundits expected a much closer race for the weekend crown between "Puss" and "Tower Heist" -- it was thought "Puss" would drop around 30%, proving the unpredictability of family auds, added to a fickle B.O. market of late.According to Par, "Puss'" 3% drop in its second frame is a record. (By comparison, "The Blind Side" saw an 18% increase in its second outing, but that was during Thanksgiving weekend. The last time a movie had a comparable non-holiday drop in its second weekend was "Twister," with a 10% dip back in May 1996.)"Puss," which collected a total $15 million overseas, also managed to hold well in markets like Russia, where the toon fell just 10% with $13.6 million, easily beating "Tintin," which bowed there with $5.9 million.Even though "Puss" certainly helped buoy Stateside conditions, the overall weekend B.O. was still down considerably from last year, a high-water November kickoff, by approximately 23%."We were expecting to be closer," said Warner distribution exec Jeff Goldstein, referring to the total box office vs. 2010.The benchmark hold for "Puss" proved Wall Street wrong, when last weekend's $34 million opening was considered a troubling start and caused DWA's stock to drop. But as Variety pointed out (Daily Variety, Oct 31), DWA toons have a strong tradition of legging out better-than-expected, with the studio's marketing chief Anne Globe saying, "I think 'Puss' is poised to have a higher multiple than what is normal." 'Funny Girl' Revival Postpones Broadway, Los Angeles Runs

After casting its lead roles, "Funny Girl" has postponed the Broadway and Los Angeles runs due to financial issues."Funny Girl," starring Lauren Ambrose and two-time Tony Award nominee Bobby Cannavale, was previously announced to make its return to Broadway in April 2012 after an engagement at the Center Theatre Group's Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles from Jan. 15 to Feb. 26, 2012."We have made the extremely difficult decision today to postpone our production of 'Funny Girl,'" said Bob Boyett on behalf of the producing team. "Given the current economic climate, many Broadway producing investors have found it impossible to maintain their standard level of financial commitment. Our desire to produce Funny Girl on the scale it deserves required a capitalization of $12 million making it one of the most expensive revivals in Broadway history."He added: "I am deeply saddened by this decision, but I, along with the finest group of co-producers I have ever had the pleasure to work with,Sonia Friedman, Jean Doumanian, Stacey Mindich and Tim Levy, determined that this was not the right time to bring'Funny Girl'to the stage.""Funny Girl" was a hit when it opened on Broadway on March 26, 1964, playing for 1,348 performances. The play was adapted for the big screen in the 1968 film of the same name. The Hollywood Reporter
